Twin Ship Shooter is an arcade style shoot-em-up with a twist: Take control of two vessels at once in this space-faring adventure.

Use the ability to separately control your ships to fight your way through waves of enemies. Concentrate your firepower to dispatch large foes, or split up to wreak wide-spread havoc.
But keep in mind that this comes with a huge risk: Having two ships in this operation means you have to be even more careful about what’s to come.
Can you successfully make your way through this dangerous quest and stop the spread of the evil forces?

This game was created in a span of one week for Brackeys Game Jam 2021.1, starring the theme “Stronger Together”. All assets, from sprite work and animations to SFX and music are our own creation and we had a lot of fun crafting it all and putting it together in this small project. We hope you enjoy this bite-sized retro ride.

Known Bugs

This is is a Game Jam game, so bugs are to be expected. Until we are able to fix them after the voting period, please consider this list before playing.

• Pausing the game directly after starting a round can make the music freak out and not stop properly. This can be fixed by restarting the game.
• The first boss in level 2 occasionaly shows unintended behaviour by flying off-screen and staying there for a couple of seconds before coming back. It is still possible to beat this boss, but it takes a tad longer.
• Not actually a bug, but a missing feature we couldn't add due to time constraints: There aren't any health indicators for the player. Each ship has a separate health pool of 3 HP.
